There is something special about the energy of a new year; it’s a season for fresh starts, shared intentions, and community connection. This year, we are keeping the momentum going through January with a local celebration designed for the whole family!
Join us at the Bernal Heights Recreation Center for a morning of music, creativity, and neighborhood spirit. Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with neighbors and kick off your 2026 goals in a fun, relaxed environment.

What’s Happening?
We’ve curated a lineup of activities that celebrate both where we’ve been and where we’re going:
Live Music: Enjoy local sounds that will keep the energy high and the vibes festive throughout the morning.
The New Year Wishes Tree: Add your hopes, dreams, or resolutions to our community tree. It’s a beautiful way to see the shared aspirations of our neighborhood.
Take-Home Seed Planting: Symbolize your growth this year by planting a seed to take home. Watch your plant thrive as you work toward your own yearly milestones!
Family Crafts: We’ll have stations set up for kids (and the young at heart) to get creative and crafty.
Fuel for Your Morning
No celebration is complete without treats! We’ll be serving complimentary pastries and coffee to keep you fueled while you craft, chat, and enjoy the music.
