Cortland Halloween 2024

Reimagine Halloween on Cortland: Safe, Fun, and Festive for All!

Cortland Halloween 2024

Cortland Halloween 2024

Bernal Heights neighbors, let’s transform Cortland Avenue into a magical Halloween haven this October 31st, 2024!

In previous Halloweens, Cortland Avenue’s narrow sidewalks and busy traffic created hazardous conditions for trick-or-treaters. This year, we’re transforming the street into a car-free zone, ensuring a safer, more spacious, and festive environment for our community celebration.

Our Vision:

  • A car-free Cortland Avenue
  • Safe space for trick-or-treaters of all ages
  • Local businesses and residents creating spooktacular experiences
  • A true community gathering that showcases the best of Bernal Heights

How You Can Help Make This Vision a Reality:

  2. Volunteer Your Time and Talents We need passionate neighbors to assist with:
    • Community outreach
    • Event planning
    • Day-of logistics Join our team and be part of creating this magical night!
  1. Donate to Our Cause While Greening Projects has covered the initial $1,200 SFMTA fee, we need to raise an additional $8,800 for permits and logistics. Every dollar counts!
    • $25 helps secure safety barriers
    • $50 supports volunteer coordination
    • $100 contributes to event insurance
    • $500 sponsors a block’s worth of decorations

Your tax-deductible donation will directly impact the success and safety of this community event.

Together, we can create a Halloween experience that will become a cherished Bernal Heights tradition. Let’s show San Francisco the power of community spirit!
